È tutto pronto per la serata di premiazione dei SAG Awards. La 30ª edizione dei Screen Actors Guild Awards avrà luogo il 24 febbraio 2024 allo Shrine Auditorium di Los Angeles e le candidature sono state annunciate da Kumail Nanjiani e Issa Rae il 10 gennaio 2024.
Gli Screen Actors Guild Awards sono tra i riconoscimenti più prestigiosi e di fatto precedono gli Oscar, rivelandosi però più soprendenti. Per quanto riguarda i film candidati la guerra è ancora tra Barbie e Oppenheimer, ognungo con 4 nomine quindi se possiamo immaginare che Oppenheimer sbancherà il prossimo 10 marzo, Barbie potrebbe avere una piccola rivincita ai SAG.
La gara per il miglior attore rimane ardemente competitiva, con la vittoria di Cillian Murphy ai BAFTA che lo mette in diretta competizione con Paul Giamatti (“The Holdovers”), che ha in tasca il Golden Globe e il Critics Choice Award.
Lily Gladstone, nonostante i premi della critica per il suo ruolo in “Killers of the Flower Moon”, si trova ad affrontare il momento della verità ai SAG, soprattutto dopo la bocciatura ai BAFTA. Con solo un Golden Globe a suo nome dalle cerimonie televisive, la Gladstone potrebbe non essere in grado di contrastare Emma Stone in “Povere Creature!” strafavorita in questa stagione di premi.
Per le serie tv lo scontro sembrerebbe tra Succession, The Bear e Beef ma anche qui, siamo pronti a scommettere su qualche sorpresa dell’ultimo momento.
